Skoler som har valgt Golf Uno

Schools that have chosen Golf Uno
Several schools have already taken the plunge and joined the Golf Uno programme – an initiative that offers pupils a new and engaging way to learn physical education. Through golf, pupils develop their coordination, concentration and social skills in a safe and inclusive environment.
Here you can read more about the schools taking part, how they use golf in their teaching, and the positive effects they are already seeing among the pupils.

Hope School in Risør is ready for new and inclusive activities.
Now the teachers have an extra tool to connect activities to the school curriculum, while children learn through play and physical activity. This is our mission at Golf Uno Europa — to create inclusion, community, and a sense of achievement.
We would like to thank all the teachers for the warm welcome, and a special thanks to Bjørn Martin for taking the initiative to contact Golf Uno and make this possible.
It is also important to mention that this project would not have been possible without the support of Zuccarellostiftelsen, who provided the resources that made the implementation of the program possible. Thank you very much!
And this does not stop at the school.
Hope School has also chosen to share the equipment with Risør Allidrett, so that even more children can have access to an additional activity outside the traditional sports programs.
Thank you to everyone who helps create more opportunities for our children!

Kringsjå School in Kristiansand Municipality
We believe that this activity can easily be incorporated into our teaching in line with the curriculum’s learning outcomes. Kringsjå School has approximately 90–100 pupils in the middle years (Years 5–7).
Kind regards,
Oddbjørn S. Egeland

Ekholt School and participation in the Golf Uno programme
Ekholt School would like to thank you for the invitation and the information we have received regarding participation in the Golf Uno programme, which incorporates golf as an activity and teaching method within the physical education curriculum. We would like to take part in this programme.
We clearly see the benefit of being able to offer our teachers new skills to use in their teaching. We also support the project’s goals of mastery, diversity and inclusion, with golf as a method and tool. For Ekholt School, it is important that all pupils have the same starting point for participating in physical activity and trying out different and varied sports.
We have three PE teachers who have agreed to take part in the 10-hour introductory course. It starts on 19 March, followed by four 2-hour sessions covering methodology and practical training throughout the spring term of 2025. These PE teachers cover Years 5–7. We envisage that the Golf Uno programme could initially be offered to two year groups. We have a total of around 100 pupils.
I, Head of Department Morten Wisth, will be the contact person at Ekholt School. Together, we will find good solutions for organising training for teachers and the practical implementation/teaching with the pupils.
We are looking forward to this.
Kind regards,
Morten Wisth, Head of Department, Years 4–7

Våk School in Våler municipality is now part of the Golf Uno programme.
This marks an important step in our efforts to expand the programme, and we greatly appreciate the commitment shown by both schools and local authorities to using golf as an educational tool.In their feedback, they emphasise: ‘We became very interested in incorporating this sport into the physical education curriculum at our school, as we see that it can appeal to many pupils. We have teachers who are committed to and active in the sport, and we recognise that this can be an advantage in terms of participation.
As a school, we are committed to inclusion and to fostering a sense of achievement among our pupils. By offering them golf at school, we hope that more of them will experience this in physical education too.
We also believe that golf at school can contribute to good mental training alongside others, and foster an interest in spending more time outdoors in nature.
We find it very positive that golf at school makes this sport accessible to children who might not otherwise have been introduced to it.
We look forward to working with you.
Kind regards,
Sine Therese Rismark

To Golf Uno Europe
On Thursday 15 May, the headteacher, Marit S. Andersen, and the head of department, Per Chr. Pettersen, attended a presentation by Golf Uno. The presentation gave us an insight into how we can use golf as part of the teaching at Øreåsen School. The fact that the programme can be adapted and used both indoors and outdoors, and is tailored to the Norwegian curriculum, is entirely positive.
The presentation was inspiring, and we firmly believe that this will contribute to a more varied and inclusive teaching environment. Here at Øreåsen, we have many children with different motor skills, abilities and interests. By introducing golf to the pupils, we are sure to get more pupils active and motivated to take part in physical activity.
We are delighted to be part of this exciting project and look forward to further collaboration and training for our staff.

‘Golf in Schools’ at Østfold University College
The Department of Sport and Physical Education has run the ‘Golf in Schools’ programme, with Golf Uno visiting to facilitate the sessions. The sessions were held for students on the Primary School Teacher Training programme (GLU) and the one-year course in Sport and Physical Education.
The students provided positive feedback throughout the session, which began in the sports hall and then moved out to the University College’s surrounding areas. This is certainly something that should be repeated with future cohorts of students – and which they can take with them into their work in schools or other groups with children and young people.
From an educational perspective, these activities fulfil several points in the Primary and Lower Secondary School Curriculum (LK20) – including one of the overarching points that physical education should encourage a lifelong enjoyment of physical activity.

Senior Lecturer in Sport and Physical Education.

Hello
Thank you for the golf lesson; we had a lot of fun and learnt a great deal during those sessions!
We believe that Golf Uno Europa helps give children a unique opportunity to try out a new sport that isn’t one of the more traditional gym sports or activities.
The programme and exercises are easily adaptable, and everyone can experience a sense of achievement regardless of previous experience. Even I, with minimal golf experience, felt a great sense of achievement in a short space of time. The benefits of including this are that everyone can take part, everyone can achieve something, it can be adapted to suit everyone, and, not least, it can be used both indoors and outdoors.
This programme fits well with the curriculum because it helps to foster a love of movement and physical activity. As mentioned earlier, these activities can be adapted to everyone and thus help to build a stronger sense of community.
The fact that everyone can feel a sense of achievement regardless of their level, and not least play together, means that no one is left out.
Kind regards, Mats and Joachim

Our experience in connecting schools with local golf clubs has allowed us to implement successful programs that have increased youth participation in this sport. We are fully willing to share with Golf Uno Europa our strategies, methodologies, and educational resources that have facilitated the integration of schools with golf clubs in our region. Høgskolen i Østfold
Norwegian teacher education has a multifaceted role; among other things, it ensures that students acquire the academic knowledge needed to convey learning objectives as outlined in the national curriculum for Norwegian schools—and to do so in a pedagogically effective manner.
In physical education, a variety of activities and sports are part of the teacher’s academic knowledge and “toolbox.” Golf Uno aims to make golf-related activities a part of this toolbox. Currently, golf is absent from the curriculum.
Golf Uno seeks to introduce diverse activities that align with the current curriculum (LK20) for different grade levels, addressing learning objectives for 2nd, 4th, 7th, and 10th grades.

Norce
NORCE can provide expertise in developing a logic model that clearly illustrates how Golf Uno’s program operates, identifies the most critical elements, and demonstrates how it contributes to achieving its goals. This is an essential resource for documenting the program’s impact and ensuring its continued development.
